My musical journey began at an early age and led me to years of intensive training in piano performance. I later earned my Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance from Louisiana State University, following graduate studies at the University of Wyoming.

 

Throughout my career, I have performed as a soloist and chamber musician, worked as a collaborative pianist, and taught students of different ages and levels.

 

With more than 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve learned that no two students are exactly alike—and that is what makes teaching so rewarding.

 

My Teaching Philosophy

 

I believe every student has their own musical voice.

 

Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor lessons to each student’s age, personality, goals, and learning style. Strong technique, musicianship, and a solid foundation are important, but so are curiosity, creativity, and the joy of making music.

 

Whether a student is preparing for evaluations and performances or simply learning piano for personal enjoyment, my goal is to help them become confident, independent musicians.
